Bioactive Compounds of Barbatimão (Stryphnodendron sp.) as Dietary Additive in Lamb Diets
نویسندگان
چکیده
This study aimed to evaluate barbatimão bark extracts as a feed additive and substitute for lasalocid sodium (LAS) feedlot lambs. Lambs were distributed into three treatments: LAS (0.018 g of sodium), DBB (1.500 dried milled bark), BHE (0.300 hydroalcoholic extract). There was no effect (p = 0.32) the inclusion on average daily gain. Inclusion in lamb diets reduced < 0.05) fatness score compared LAS, which similar DBB. The decreased yellowness intensity hue angle meat LAS. Animals that consumed had 0.04) total cholesterol level. Thus, use can replace diet lambs, with detrimental effects performance or metabolic parameters.

Endophytic fungi live inside plants, apparently do not cause any harm to their hosts and may play important roles in defense and growth promotion. Endophytes are microorganism that lives between living plant cell. Their relationship may vary with plant from symbiotic to bordening on pathogenic. Endophytes may contribute to their host plant by producing a plethora of substances that provide prot...
متن کاملEffect of Dietary Bioactive Compounds on Mitochondrial and Metabolic Flexibility
Metabolic flexibility is the capacity of an organism to adequately respond to changes in the environment, such as nutritional input, energetic demand, etc. An important player in the capacity of adaptation through different stages of metabolic demands is the mitochondrion. In this context, mitochondrial dysfunction has been attributed to be the onset and center of many chronic diseases, which a...
متن کاملIn Silico Analysis of Sea Cucumber Bioactive Compounds as Anti-Breast Cancer Mechanism Using AutoDock Vina
In recent years, the potential of marine natural products as anticancer agents, specifically for breast cancer, has been examined. The sea cucumber (Holothuroidea: Echinodermata) is known to contain triterpene glycosides, which have shown anticancer or cytotoxic activity. In this research, molecular docking of selected sea cucumber bioactive compounds was conducted on five receptor targets that...
متن کاملBioactive Compounds from a Gorgonian Coral Echinomuricea sp. (Plexauridae)
A new labdane-type diterpenoid, echinolabdane A (1), and a new sterol, 6-epi-yonarasterol B (2), were isolated from a gorgonian coral identified as Echinomuricea sp. The structures of metabolites 1 and 2 were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Echinolabdane A (1) possesses a novel tetracyclic skeleton with an oxepane ring jointed to an α,β-unsaturated-γ-lactone ring by a hemiketal moiety, and...
متن کاملStudy on bioactive compounds from Streptomyces sp. ANU 6277.
An attempt was made to study the bioactive compounds from a terrestrial Streptomyces sp. ANU 6277 isolated from laterite soil. Four active fractions were recovered from the solvent extracts obtained from the culture broth of five day-old strain. Three bioactive compounds were purified and identified as 3-phenylpropionic acid, anthracene-9,10-quinone and 8-hydroxyquinoline. The components of the...
